Registering for ETenet
To access the ETenet portal, you need to have had a USER ID and account password. To request the login credentials, you need to complete your registration. The registration process is slightly different for physicians and non-medical staff. Some versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox may not support the physician registration portal. In that case, you need to access the registration portal via eTenet Citrix Environment or supported version of Internet Explorer.
The registration process for the ETenet by non-medical staff

- Click on New User Register Here Or you can directly visit the registration page secure.etenet.com/portalaccess/registration
- Enter the Registration/Unique ID. Post joining, if you have still not received Registration ID, click on the Request Registration/Unique ID link below the ID field. A pop-up will appear. Enter your registered email address. Check your email inbox for an email from tenetsecurity@tenethealth.com. There, you will receive the Unique ID.
- On the next field, enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number
- Enter the month and date of your birth.
- Click on Next.
- You will receive your unique eTenet ID via email address. Confirm the ID by typing it.
- Create a strong password.
- Click Next.
- You need to go through multifactor authentication.
- Click on OK.
You have completed your registration process. Keep a note of your eTenet ID and password very carefully.
The registration process for the ETenet by the physician
Step 1:
First, you need to request for the access of eTenet portal by entering detailed personal information and professional credentials.
- Open browser and visit, secure.etenet.com
- Click on New User Register Here
- Click on the link Physicians, Non-Medical Staff, and Referring Physicians at all facilities except DMC: Request Access Here. Or you can directly visit the registration page secure.etenet.com/PortalAccess/RequestPhysicianAccess
- Next, you need to enter all the personal information in the registration form.
- Type the last four digit of Social Security Number.
- Enter the month and date of your date of birth.
- Enter your National Provider Identifier
- Enter your full name.
- Type your phone number.
- Type your full contact address.
- Enter your personal email address.
- Enter the credentials of the hospital where you are currently affiliated or have standing privileges.
- Click on Next.
- Confirm all the information entered previously. Make sure to make any changes or edits if required.
- Click on Finish.
You have successfully completed the initial stage for registration. Completing this stage would officially grant you access to the main registration page of eTenet.
Step 2
In this final step, you need to complete the registration process as a physician or referring physician.
- Open browser and visit, secure.etenet.com
- Click on New Credentialed Physician? Register here Or you can directly visit the registration page at secure.etenet.com/portalaccess/CredentialedPhysicianRegistration
- Enter the Registration/Unique ID. Post joining, if you have still not received Registration ID, click on the Request Registration/Unique ID link below the ID field. A pop-up will appear. Enter your registered email address. Check your email inbox for an email from tenetsecurity@tenethealth.com. There, you will receive the Unique ID. You can also call up Tenet Service Desk at 1-800-639-7575; follow the instructions to obtain your Registration/Unique ID.
- Next, enter your Registration/Unique ID in the given field.
- Type your National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Click on Next.
- On the next page, confirm your eTenet ID.
- Tap on Next.
- Create a password.
- Retype the password.
- Click on Next.
- Complete the multifactor authentication of the information entered during Step 1.
- Click on Finish.
Finally! After a long process, you have been successfully registered for the eTenet portal. You will receive your User ID in your registered email address. Now all you need is to log in and access multiple features.
How to login to eTenet
- Open browser and visit, secure.etenet.com (Bookmark for future use)
- Type the eTenet User ID you received in your email address.
- Enter the password you set up during the registration process.
- Click on Log In.

How to reset password
Apart from the User ID (which you are receiving via email so you can refer to it anytime you forget), the password is another gateway to access the eTenet tool. Failure to input correct password will bar you from accessing your account. It may hamper your work for the day. To avoid this, it’s better to reset the password as soon as you forget the password. Follow these steps:

- Click on the Forgot your password? Reset it here
- On the next page, there are two sections in accordance to your designation.
- Click on Registered eTenet Users, Tenet Employed Physicians, and Non-Credentialed Physicians if such is the designation and enter the following credentials:
- ETenet User ID.
- Last four digit of Social Security Number.
- Month and date of your date of birth.
- Click on Registered Credentialed Physicians if such is the designation and enter the following credentials:
- ETenet User ID.
- National Provider Identifier.
- On completing forms under relevant options, click on Next.
- Next, you need to confirm your identity by clicking on the link sent to your registered email address.
- On clicking the link, you will be redirected to a page to complete multifactor authentication.
- Now, set the new password.
- Retype the password.
- Click on Finish.
- Come back to the login page and access using newly set credentials. You are finally allowed again to access your eTenet account.
